In Mutakura’s modest streets, Kemuel, a bright-eyed 10-year-old, harboured dreams of becoming a teacher. However, a unilateral cataract in his left eye clouded his aspirations, distancing him from the blackboard and his cherished books.

His family’s prayers found an answer in CTSOE. With their help, Kemuel underwent a transformative surgery at CHUK. Emerging from it, he could see the world clearer and envision his dream with renewed clarity. With CTSOE’s continued post-operative care at CDO, Kemuel’s path back to school and toward his dreams was brightly lit.
