Meet Lahai Roy, a 2-year-old child who consulted for a swelling in the eye. Her mother worried as she said the swelling was still growing.

Lahai Roy had been a happy and confident toddler, until she became burdened by a mass in her left eye. As she grew, the lesion grew larger making difficult for her to concentrate and look in a lit direction. She sometimes would cry and shake her eye violently . Her mother, a single mum and farmer fears for Roy’s future but she had couldn’t afford to bring her to the hospital. When she finally made it to the eye clinic, Roy’s mother was happy to learn that there is a center that will deals with sight-related issues in children at no cost.

When she came for operation, Roy’s mother was a bit fearful, she thought the child was too small for the eye surgery, but doctors convinced her that it was going to be okay, after all, this was routine surgery.

“I know God will make a way, just as he did for me to find this center”, she said before handing the child to the nurse for surgery.
